INNOVMAR - Innovation and Sustainability in the Management and Exploitation of Marine Resources is a Structured Project of CIIMAR. It aims to develop and consolidate the 3 main research lines of CIIMAR by implementing strategic actions that have regional (NUTS II North) and national impacts. We will increase the internationally recognized scientific production measured by the impact of our publications but also will contribute to the economy based on technology. We will rationalize our resources by increasing collaborations among research groups and research lines. CIIMAR is involved in two Research Infrastructures recently approved by FCT: EMBRC.PT (European Marine Biological Resource Centre) and EMSO.PT (European Multidisciplinary Seafloor and Water Column Observatory) that are national branches of the respective European RI.
