A 36 month research, development and innovation project that aims to explore the use of modern biological science approaches to generate knowledge and technologies to support the value of key agro food product lines identified in the RIS3 document for the Norte region (wine, traditional meat products and olive oil manly). The operation will count on a team of 26 PhD researchers from the CBQF, more than 11 PhD students and the necessary technical support. The team will be augmented by the addition of 5 PhDs that will be contracted for at least the duration of the project and will bring complementary skills and knowledge to the team. The unit possesses an excellent and experienced technology transfer team with a broad palette of options that will ensure that knowledge and technologies are fully exploited.
