The Assistant Researcher in Circular Economy within the Bioproducts and Bioactive Research Group at CBQF will play a pivotal role in advancing research activities focused on the valorisation of agro-food wastes and by-products. The primary emphasis will be on developing innovative fractioning and extraction methods to generate value-added molecules and materials, contributing to the creation of new bioproducts. The researcher will also be responsible for implementing clean technologies for the extraction and purification of these molecules, with a focus on translating research outcomes into practical applications for industry. Additionally, the successful candidate will be expected to have a strong publication record in high-impact journals, demonstrating the capacity to reinforce the international impact and visibility of CBQF. Networking with industry and academic institutions, as well as experience in supervising doctoral and master´s programs, will be essential aspects of this role. The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to work effectively in a team environment, and the capacity to make informed decisions and implement highly organized recommendations. They should also demonstrate the ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and meet deadlines consistently.The Bioproducts and Bioactive Research Group at CBQF has been attracting talent in core research areas, contributing to its overall success. However, despite the expertise and contributions of its researchers, the group faces challenges due to precarious work conditions, especially when supported by research projects. The addition of an assistant Researcher in Circular Economy will not only strengthen the group´s research capabilities but also provide stability and support for its ongoing and future projects. This position will enable the group to continue its innovative work in biotechnology and circular economy, fostering collaborations with industry partners and academic institutions. Moreover, by reinforcing international impact and visibility through high-impact publications and networking activities, the researcher will contribute to positioning CBQF as a leader in sustainable bioproducts research. Additionally, the candidate´s supervision experience will enhance the group´s capacity to train and mentor future generations of researchers, further solidifying its reputation for excellence in research and innovation.The Assistant Researcher in Circular Economy must possess a diverse skill set and competencies to excel in the field of biotechnology and circular economy. Key qualifications and experiences required for this role include:The candidate should have at least 5-year expertise as PhD holder with solid background in biotechnology, in circular economy principles and practices.Demonstrated research activity in circular economy, particularly in the valorisation of agro-food wastes and by-products, is essential. The candidate should have experience in developing innovative fractioning and extraction methods to generate value-added molecules and materials.Proficiency in implementing clean technologies for the extraction and purification of value-added molecules is crucial. The candidate should have a track record of applying sustainable and environmentally friendly approaches in their research.A strong publication record with highly cited articles published in high-impact journals is required. The candidate should have demonstrated the capacity to produce impactful research outputs that contribute to the advancement of knowledge in the field.Experience in translating research outcomes into practical applications for industry is essential. The candidate should have a proven track record of collaborating with industrial partners and transferring technology from the lab to the market.Strong networking capacity with industry and academic institutions is highly desirable. The candidate should have experience in building and maintaining collaborative partnerships to enhance research impact and visibility.Experience in supervising doctoral and master´s programs is important. The candidate should have demonstrated mentorship and leadership skills in guiding the next generation of researchers.
