Job descriptionThe Assistant professor to be hired should have demonstrated initial scientific achievements and the capacity for independent research at the highest international level in the scientific domains of Engineering and Management of Organizations, aligned with the research and training goals established at IST. A university degree and an outstanding doctoral degree, as well as pedagogical aptitude, are prerequisites. Full commitment to do interdisciplinary research and the ability to lead cooperative research projects and to attract third-party funding are expected.The Assistant professor is expected to contribute to value creation for organizations and their stakeholders, fostering knowledge about the roles played by technology, knowledge, and human resources in the formation of innovative firms and competitive regions, contributing to the formulation and assessment of policies in industry, science, and higher education, which contributes to the development of the scientific-disciplinary area.The key responsibilities associated with this position encompass:Developing a research agenda twinned with the Strategy, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation Research Group of CEGIST (SEI) and other relevant research groups.Ensuring the success of courses within training programs related to Engineering, Management of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, with a specific focus on Technological Based Entrepreneurship, Strategic Management, Innovation Management, and Design Thinking;Exploring real-world applications, establishing and strengthening connections to society and internally within IST; Scientific profileThe following profile is set for this Assistant Professora. Educational background : a PhD in engineering and management, or in a related area.b. Research experience : should have demonstrated initial scientific achievements and the capacity for independent research at the highest international level in the scientific domains of Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and Strategy. Full commitment to do interdisciplinary research and the ability to lead cooperative research projects and to attract third-party funding are expected.c. Teaching experience : some teaching and supervising experience related to Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and Strategy.d. Additional requirements : evidence of industry collaboration, research project participation, science outreach, and contributions to the academic community in the areas of Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and Strategy.
