SCIENTIFIC PROFILE REQUIREDBased on the previously mentioned tasks, the candidate should have a background research on culture and urban studies, with a clear emphasis and expertise in promoting territorial regeneration through co-creation methodologies and the activation of community-based projects supported by participative governance approaches. The candidate should also demonstrate a commitment to interdisciplinary research, along with a proficient use of empirical methodologies and analytical theoretical frameworks. These attributes are expected to foster collaborations with other research groups within CES, namely the CREATOUR Observatory, which is an intersectoral platform that brings together researchers and professionals from the cultural/creative and tourism sectors, linking academia to the public and private sectors in a logic of critique, evaluation and reflection towards the production of knowledge regarding practices of culture, of creative tourism and of other associated disciplinary areas.Additionally, prior experience in securing competitive funding and leading research projects and research teams, the ability to establish and sustain strategic international collaborations that can improve the quality of the scientific research performed, and to attract and train young researchers will also be required skills to fit this position. Moreover, knowledge transfer skills (e.g. outreach and dissemination of research outputs to maximize its social impact) will be highly valued. RATIONALE FOR THE NEED TO HIRE IN THE SCIENTIFIC AREA.One of CES strategic goals is to examine alternative ways of promoting territorial cohesion through the activation of community-based projects supported by participative governance approaches. The researcher selected for this position is expected to produce research that contributes to understanding current societal crises and building socially just and effective strategies and interventions to deal with it, focusing on urban cultures and modes of organization and regulation of social, cultural, political, and economic life in urban territories.By strengthening the research potential of the Thematic Line CULTURS, CES upholds its commitment to producing ground-breaking research, with international impact, that contributes to substantial personal, societal and economic benefits for those facing vulnerability, empowering them psychosocially.

  • Beneficiários Diretos são aqueles cujos financiamento e projetos a executar constam do Plano de Recuperação e Resiliência negociado e aprovado pela União Europeia;
