We will hire an assistant researcher with accumulated experience in research addressing the economic evaluation of psychological and psychoeducational interventions at CPUP. The position holder will contribute to the field of applied psychological research by performing economic evaluations of evidence-based interventions of individual and group-based format, delivered through multiple formats (e.g., online, in-person, hybrid). This will provide advances in the fields of prevention and implementation science, ensuring that the research developed at CPUP is in line with the highest quality standards in these fields of research. In addition, the researcher will contribute to master´s and doctoral programs at FPCEUP, providing mentorship, instruction, and research supervision to graduate students pursuing advanced degrees in all programs currently available at Department of Psychology, FPCEUP.Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in Psychology, Health economics, or a related field, with expertise in economic evaluation research methods and a track record of research addressing the economic evaluation of health and or mental health interventions, programs, or treatments.The position-holder is expected to sustain an active research program, engage graduate students, and promote community-wide participation.RESEARCH PROGRAMApplicants are expected to conduct research addressing the economic analysis of psychological and psychoeducational interventions. They should have experience in advanced quantitative data analyses, using different statistical software, implementing robust procedures for data collection, as well as experience in publishing in high impact journals and presenting in international scientific meetings. It is also expected that applicants have experience coordinating research projects that attracted national and international funding. As part of their work, the position holder will be responsible for preparing grant applications in call with competitive funding at national and international level. The work developed is expected to be pioneer and advance the research addressing the evaluation of psychological and psychoeducational interventions according to the quality standards of prevention and implementation science. It is expected to have national and international impact by informing on the costs, utilities, benefits, and effectiveness of interventions delivered in real-world settings, thus providing valuable contributions to the contexts of psychological and psychoeducational routine care practice and policy and decision-making, moving forward from the mere evaluation of effects, and impacting decisions regarding larger-scale dissemination.COLLABORATIONS AND TEACHINGThe position holder should be actively involved in national and international networks and societies. In addition, the research work should be developed in collaboration with other researchers at the CPUP. Collaboration with researchers from interdisciplinary teams, from different fields of research is part of the research plan, this meaning that the position holder should have strong oral and written communication skills and be able to cross-domains and develop their work using multiple approaches. In addition, the position involves supervision of students enrolled in master and doctoral degrees, and also engaging in teaching activities in the same cycle of studies in curricular units related to the research plan. The research plan to be developed should be innovative and scientifically sound, contributing to the CPUP scientific strategy of producing excellent quality research in psychology, increasing its visibility and impact at national and international level.COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENTExperience working in interdisciplinary teams is required, as well as experience with rigorous research plans addressing the effects of psychological and psychoeducational interventions, such as randomized controlled trials. Experience disseminating research findings to non-academic audiences is also required, specifically through communication science and citizen science. The researcher should also hold strategies for knowledge transfer to inform on cost-sensitive decision and policy-making, as well as scale-up efforts.
