The selected candidate will also play a crucial role in developing and fortifying strategic networks, fostering scientific partnerships, and facilitating collaborations to promote synergy among researchers.Tasks Assigned to the Prospective Employee: Design, Coordination, and Implementation of Research Projects : The candidate will be responsible for conceiving, coordinating, and executing research projects. A key aspect of this role involves actively seeking funding opportunities, especially from European research programs. This involves initiating and leading research projects that explore legal frameworks related to artificial intelligence, digital technologies, and cyber law. Proposal Formulation: The ability to craft compelling proposals is vital. The candidate should possess the competence to conduct innovative research, contributing to the institution´s intellectual growth. Networking Skills: The researcher is expected to demonstrate proficiency in building and maintaining networks of contacts at national and international levels. Establishing strategic partnerships with research institutions, academics, and relevant entities is essential for fostering scientific collaboration and ensuring the success of research projects. Student Mentorship : The Assistant Professor will play a pivotal role in guiding and mentoring students, fostering their interest in the intersection of law and emerging technologies. This includes supervising research projects and providing support for students pursuing careers at the intersection of law and technology.Scientific Profile Required:The prospective employee should have:The ideal candidate should have PhD in Law, in the last 5 years, demonstrating working capacity suited for the activities to be carried out integrated in a multidisciplinary team; preferably, having participated in national and/or international R&D projects and activities and developed research and dissemination activity in Artificial Intelligence, Digital, and Cyber Law, considering the privileged research focal areas of CEAD Francisco Suárez and specifically the Digital Transformation.Demonstrated ability to formulate compelling research proposals and conduct innovative research.Solid skills in building and maintaining national and international networks and establishing strategic partnerships with research institutions, academics, and relevant entities.Rationale for Hiring in this Scientific Area:The urgency to strengthen the institution´s research capacity in the field of law, especially within international projects, underscores the need for this position.
