Job DescriptionThe Assistant Researcher (AR) in the scientific area of Sport Sciences, specialization on Human Behavior and Sports Performance will be assigned to develop tasks in compliance with the Research Career Statute (DL 124/99, 20th April, Article 5º), participating in regular R&D, technical and scientific activities within SPRINT scope and mission, and will have the specific tasks:To carry out, on a regular basis, research and development activities, as well as other scientific and technical activities within the scope of SPRINT mission,To participate in the design, submission, development and execution of R&D projects, and related scientific and technical activities;To organize and guide the work carried out within the scope of the projects under its responsibility.To cooperate with researchers from the IPVC R&D Units in multidisciplinary projects;To collaborate with the UGP-IPVC in the identification and valorization of technologies, inventions, and ideas;To promote the dissemination of knowledge produced in the R&D Unit, namely to the industry and companies;To collaborate in the development of training actions within the scope of R&D activitiesTo monitor the research work carried out by scholarship holders, research interns and research assistants;To collaborate in institution’s training programs.  Scientific profile requiredThe current application is dedicated to an AR specialized in Human Behavior and Sports Performance, that must have benefited (prerequisite) from a fixed-term contract or a postgraduate scholarship from a Science and Technology National Systems institution, as a PhD holder.We expect applications from Ph.D. candidates, specialized in sports training, being valuable those who demonstrate experience in post-doctoral scholarships/grants, previous integrations in funded research projects and that are centered on sports training and human performance. Ideally, the candidate should have, on average, one or more publications per year in journals indexed on Web of Science (SCIE and SSCI) in Quartiles 1 and 2 over the past 5 years. Additionally, it is also valuable if the candidate has authored at least one article per year as the primary author in the last five years (on average), demonstrating their ability to lead as an author and researcher.The candidate must demonstrate the ability to participate in research projects and independently manage tasks associated with sports science – sports training research projects.Additionally, it will be valued the experience on knowledge transfer and the applied scientific experience in the field of sports training.  RationaleThis job vacancy is associated with the SPRINT research center, which houses a research group focused on Human Behavior and Sports Performance. The selected candidate will be assigned to this group within SPRINT. Furthermore, this individual will also interact with the specific Master´s degree program in Sports Training at IPVC, as well as with future Ph.D. students, thereby aligning with IPVC´s strategy to foster research in key areas across its schools and research centers.
