Position: Associate Professor in Materials Science with emphasis on Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) characterization methodologies for the development of Energy materials and Biomaterials. Job Description: We are seeking a highly qualified motivated Associate Professor in the field of Material Science with an emphasis on the development of NMR methodologies, specifically within the realm of the synthesis and production of polymeric systems for Energy materials and Biomaterials applications. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in advancing our institution´s research and academic mission. Key responsibilities include:Establish and lead an independent research program addressing key questions in the Energy and Biomaterials fields, with an emphasis on the synthesis and production of polymeric systems and NMR characterization methodologies.Design and teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Polymeric materials and Biomaterials, with a focus on applications in Energy and Biomedical fields.Supervise graduate students and mentor undergraduate researchers in research projects related to the Development of polymeric materials for Energy and Biomedical Applications.Contribute to the academic community through the publication of research findings in reputable scientific journals.Collaborate with interdisciplinary research teams within the institution and foster external collaborations. Scientific Profile: The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and attributes:Ph.D. in Materials Science or related field, with a strong focus on Synthetic methodologies.Proven expertise in designing and conducting research projects related to the development of polymeric materials and the use of NMR methodologies, with a clear application to the Energy and Biomedical field.Experience in both mentoring students and providing advanced training, as well as teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in NMR Characterization Techniques and the development of Polymeric Materials for Energy and Biomedical Applications, with a commitment to innovative and effective pedagogical approaches.Demonstrated ability to secure external research funding and a strong publication record in reputable scientific journals.Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within interdisciplinary teams. A avaliação do projeto é realizada com base na sua conformidade com os critérios de seleção definidos nos avisos de candidatura, podendo ser atribuída uma nota final, quando aplicável.
