Sumário

In order to solve the issues that the healthcare system is currently facing, the goals of this project are to make use of new technologies in order to deliver creative healthcare solutions that may be implemented in individual homes. It is necessary to establish a laboratory in order to demonstrate the potential of these technologies in extending the lifetime of humans in their homes while maintaining their dignity. The reason for this is in reaction to the growing issues, such as the saturation of the healthcare system. The aim is to further study and broaden the research in Ambient Assisted Living (AAL) by exploring methods to continuously monitor health and well-being indicators in a pleasant and unobtrusive way. Additionally, the project seeks to develop tools that facilitate seamless communication between caregivers, and individuals within the home environment. These tools empower users to actively participate in their own care, fostering independence and enhancing their quality of life. This entails moving from the development of ideas and initial validation of concepts in Phase 1 to the establishment of a sophisticated information and communication technology infrastructure in Phase 2. This infrastructure will integrate cutting-edge assistants and investigate the possibility of expanding into further disciplines, thereby expanding the scope of AAL research and its applications. 1. Creating a strong information and communication technology (ICT) system designed for home environments, using advanced Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) assistance to guarantee a good user experience design for this audience. 2. Creating laboratory environments that are favorable for comprehensive assessments, promoting creativity and enabling continuous enhancement processes for Ambient Assisted Living (AAL) solutions. 3. Deploying uninterrupted communication channels to continuously assess and improve systems, guaranteeing prompt response to user requirements, growing difficulties, and technology breakthroughs in the field of Ambient Assisted Living (AAL). 4. The improvement of assistants by incorporating robust security and privacy features, with a primary focus on the protection of user data and the maintenance of confidentiality in all interactions. 5. Deploying comprehensive monitoring systems integrated with user-friendly interfaces, with the goal of simplifying efficient data collecting and generating effective feedback loops for users and caregivers. 6. Progress in physical activity monitoring technology and methodology, facilitating precise assessment of users' activity levels and offering significant data for health and wellness management. 7. Develop a demonstration that showcases all of the technologies that have been developed.
