SCIENTIFIC PROFILE REQUIRED BY THE HIRING INSTITUTION:Based on the previously mentioned tasks, the candidate should have a background in gender, sexualities and citizenship issues. These attributes are expected to foster collaborations with other research groups within CES, namely GPS-CES, the Research Group on Sexualities that aims at facilitating inter-knowledge and the creation of networks. Additionally, prior experience in securing competitive funding and leading research projects and research teams, the ability to establish and sustain strategic international collaborations that can improve the quality of the scientific research performed, and to attract and train young researchers will also be required skills to fit this position. Moreover, knowledge transfer skills (e.g. outreach and dissemination of research outputs to maximize its social impact) will be highly valued. RATIONALE FOR THE NEED TO HIRE FOR THE INDICATED SCIENTIFIC AREAGender and hetero-cis-normativity based inequalities continue pervasive in society and bring about topics as diverse as harassment and other forms of sexual violence, LGBTQI+ rights, sexual health, among others. The research developed by the selected candidate is expected to better inform antidiscrimination policies with innovative alternative proposals for justice and dignity.By strengthening the research potential of the Thematic Line DEMOJUST, with added expertise on gender, sexualities and citizenship issues, CES upholds its commitment to producing ground-breaking research, with international impact, that contributes to substantial personal, societal benefits for those facing vulnerability, empowering them psychosocially.Gender studies are a core research topic at CES, dealt with from different disciplinary perspectives. With a view to enhance the critical mass available at CES two positions will be opened for this profile.
Beneficiaries
The two types are::
- Direct Beneficiaries are those whose funding and projects to implement are part of the Recovery and Resilience Plan that has been negotiated and approved by the European Union;
- Final Beneficiaries are those whose funding and projects to implement are approved following a selection process through Calls for Applications.
Call for applications
As part of the Call for Applications, submissions are requested to select the projects and final beneficiaries to whom funding will be awarded. Specific selection criteria are defined for each call, which must be reflected in the applications submitted and assessed.
The project is appraised on the basis of its compliance with the selection criteria laid down in the calls for applications, and a final score may be awarded, where applicable.
Final evaluation score
The components for calculating the assessment score can be found in the selection criteria document mentioned below.
