From idea to project
In order for citizens, companies, municipalities or other public or private entities to benefit from the support made available by Portugal 2030, a series of steps must be taken.
To this end, there are specific bodies responsible for defining, evaluating, monitoring and managing the support available.
What stages does a project go through?
Tenders
Creating notices
Periodically, PT2030 programs launch calls for tenders to allow access to available funds, described as "Announcements". Each announcement defines the possible beneficiaries of the funding, the objectives to be achieved and the eligible amounts for the projects.
Application
Any citizen, public or private entity with an idea that fits the criteria defined by the different calls for proposals can apply for the available support. To do so, you need to document and substantiate your project idea.

Each application submitted is evaluated by the structures responsible for each program. Applications from the highest quality projects that meet all the requirements are approved.
Project
Approval
Once the application has been approved, a contract is drawn up between the beneficiary and the structure responsible for the program, which defines the rights and duties of each party. The project begins.
Execution
The structures responsible for each program monitor the physical and financial execution of each project as contracted.
Closing
When the project is completed, it is evaluated and validated whether all the agreed procedures have been complied with.
What are the Announcements?
The "announcements" are the main tool for applying the financial resources available under Portugal 2030 to projects that stimulate and develop the Portuguese economy.
Each call for applications has an investment amount associated with it, which is made available to beneficiaries through a call for tenders or invitations to implement projects.
