The Assistant Professor in Dermatology plays a critical role in advancing the academic and clinical missions of the department by integrating patient care, education, and research in the field of dermatology. By recruiting a skilled clinician-educator with expertise in dermatology, we aim to enhance our capacity for clinical excellence, research innovation, and educational leadership while preparing the next generation of dermatologists to deliver compassionate, evidence-based care and contribute to advancing dermatologic knowledge and practice. Tasks and Responsibilities :Teach medical students, residents, and fellows about diagnosing, managing, and treating dermatologic conditions through lectures, clinical rotations, dermatopathology sessions, and other educational activities.Provide direct supervision and mentorship to dermatology trainees in outpatient clinics, inpatient consultations, and procedural settings, guiding them in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients with skin disorders.Lead and participate in multidisciplinary dermatology clinics and conferences, collaborating with dermatologists, dermatopathologists, Mohs surgeons, and other specialists to deliver comprehensive care for patients with complex dermatologic conditions.Conduct clinical and translational research in dermatology, focusing on topics such as skin cancer, inflammatory skin diseases, cosmetic dermatology, dermatologic surgery, or dermatopathology, leading to scholarly publications and presentations at national and international conferences.Engage in academic leadership and administrative roles within the department, including curriculum development, quality improvement initiatives, and mentorship of junior faculty, residents, and students.Stay current with advances in dermatologic diagnosis and treatment modalities, including new therapeutic agents, procedural techniques, and digital health technologies, and integrate evidence-based practices into clinical care, research, and teaching activities. Scientific Profile Required :Hold a PhD and an MD or equivalent degree from an accredited medical school.Board certification or eligibility in Dermatology, with clinical expertise and experience managing patients with a wide range of dermatologic conditions in outpatient and inpatient settings.Demonstrated commitment to medical education and excellence in teaching dermatology concepts and clinical skills to learners at various levels (e.g., medical students, residents, fellows).Track record of scholarly productivity, including peer-reviewed publications, presentations at dermatology conferences, and involvement in research projects related to dermatologic diseases.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, learners, and patients from diverse backgrounds.Eligibility for academic appointment at the Assistant Professor level in the affiliated medical school.

- Final Beneficiaries are those whose funding and projects to implement are approved following a selection process through Calls for Applications.
Call for applications

The project is appraised on the basis of its compliance with the selection criteria laid down in the calls for applications, and a final score may be awarded, where applicable.
