The Adjunct Professor in Accounting, Auditing and Taxation will be responsible for a range of tasks that contribute to the academic and research excellence of the Department of Business Sciences of ESTGOH.The primary duties include conduct cutting-edge research in the accounting, auditing and taxation, leading to publications in reputable journals and conferences. Collaborate with other faculty members and students on research projects, fostering a dynamic and collaborative research environment. Engage in the department, ESTGOH and IPC service activities, including committee participation and academic program development. Contribute to outreach efforts to promote accounting, auditing and taxation education within the community. The candidate to be hire will be asked to design and deliver undergraduate and graduate-level courses in accounting, auditing and taxation. Develop innovative curriculum materials and update existing courses units to align with the latest industry trends and technological advancements.The scientific profile required for the candidate should include the following qualifications and characteristics: a PhD in Accounting, Auditing or Taxation or a closely related field from a reputable institution, a strong research record demonstrated by publications in reputable conferences and journals. Expertise in a specialized area of accounting, auditing and taxation, such as Financial Accounting, Financial Auditing, Tax Audit, or Portuguese Taxation. The candidate must demonstrated ability to teach a variety of accounting, auditing and taxation courses effectively at both undergraduate and graduate levels. Commitment to innovative teaching methods and a student-centered approach. Demonstrate ability to collaborate with colleagues on research projects and contribute to a positive and inclusive departmental atmosphere. Potential for a variety of organizational roles within the department, such as committee membership or programme coordination. strong links or experience of working with industry partners and the ability to integrate real-world applications into academic coursework.The need to hire an adjunct professor in this scientific area arises from the intension to expand the department´s research portfolio and enhance its reputation in specific areas of accounting, auditing and taxation. T he need to bridge the gap between academia and industry by bringing in a professional with strong industry connections and experience. T he opportunity to foster interdisciplinary collaboration with other departments and the Centro Bio of BLC3, addressing complex challenges that require a multifaceted approach. The commitment to diversify the faculty and provide students with role models from different backgrounds and perspectives.The successful candidate will play a key role in advancing the academic and research mission of the Department of Business Sciences of the ESTGOH, contributing to its growth and reputation within the IPC and the broader academic community.

Call for applications
