Summary

Job Summary:As an Assistant Researcher in Sustainable and Social Corporate Responsibility, the researcher will support the CEEAplA team in developing frameworks and implementing metrics that promote economic development, social equity, and environmental sustainability within the business ecosystem. The researcher will play a crucial role in researching industry trends, analyzing data, and contributing to projects that assess consumers´ awareness and knowledge regarding business practices and consumer behavior. The researcher can also transfer the theoretical developments to practice through lecturing at the undergraduate and graduate levels.Key Responsibilities:Conduct comprehensive research on sustainable practices, social responsibility trends, and regulatory standards, interconnecting it with entrepreneurship, innovation, and digitalization.Assist in the development and execution of sustainability and CSR projects, including sustainability reporting, community engagement initiatives, and environmental initiatives, and establish metrics for assessing the economic value of these initiatives.Analyze firms’ environmental footprint, supply chain sustainability, and social impact data to identify improvement areas.Stay updated on global sustainability and CSR trends, best practices, and regulations to ensure that research in the field remains cutting-edge and compliant.Assist in organizing and coordinating lecturing, events, or workshops related to sustainability and corporate social responsibility.Scientific profile:PhD in Management/Business, Economy, Tourism, or a related field.Research productivity: Have a publication record (and strong publication potential) in top international peer-reviewed journals, with a minimum of 5 articles over five years indexed on Scopus, with at least three articles with impact factor and one piece ranked Q1 in the business field on JCR. Are passionate about impactful research and are committed to excellence in its pursuit.Communication skills: strong proficiency, including the ability to teach in Portuguese and English to various student audiences.Teaching capabilities: demonstrate strong teaching skills with experience in Portuguese at graduate and post-graduate education levels. Beneficiaries

Within the scope of the Recovery and Resilience Plan, two types of beneficiaries are responsible for carrying out the projects and using the funding provided. Due to their similar role, the reference to these two types of beneficiaries has been simplified and unified under the term "Beneficiary".
The two types are::
  • Direct Beneficiaries are those whose funding and projects to implement are part of the Recovery and Resilience Plan that has been negotiated and approved by the European Union;
  • Final Beneficiaries are those whose funding and projects to implement are approved following a selection process through Calls for Applications.

Call for applications

As part of the Call for Applications, submissions are requested to select the projects and final beneficiaries to whom funding will be awarded. Specific selection criteria are defined for each call, which must be reflected in the applications submitted and assessed.

The project is appraised on the basis of its compliance with the selection criteria laid down in the calls for applications, and a final score may be awarded, where applicable.
