Summary

To achieve its strategic objectives for 2025–2029, CEGOT aims to strengthen its research infrastructure, aligning investments with its mission to generate high-impact knowledge on territorial and social development. Acquiring new equipment is vital for addressing its three research domains: natural and environmental dynamics, urbanisation and territorial development, and tourism and territory. This will support innovative approaches to climate adaptation, risk mitigation, socio-economic transitions, and cultural sustainability. The equipment strategy directly aligns with CEGOT’s goals of fostering partnerships, advancing knowledge, and maximising interaction between research and education. Cutting-edge instruments for hydrology, soil, atmospheric, and remote sensing studies will enable high-quality field data collection, ensuring reproducible and verifiable results. Advanced geospatial and photogrammetric software, combined with high-performance computing, will facilitate the processing of large data streams, such as UAV imagery and LiDAR, while supporting up to 20 concurrent users. This integration will enhance workflows, promote interdisciplinary collaboration, and accelerate scientific output. The equipment list can be divided into two strategic lines of action. The first focuses on essential field and laboratory instruments for robust data collection in hydrology, ecology, and territorial monitoring. The second concentrates on consolidating digital infrastructures, including software, drones, sensors, and computational resources, to expand analytical capabilities and foster collaborative research. These acquisitions will bolster PhD and postdoctoral projects, fortify international partnerships, and cement CEGOT’s status as a leading centre in geographic and territorial research. Investing in this infrastructure ensures the methodological rigour, data quality, and collaborative environment for translating scientific knowledge into societal and policy impact.

Beneficiaries

Within the scope of the Recovery and Resilience Plan, two types of beneficiaries are responsible for carrying out the projects and using the funding provided. Due to their similar role, the reference to these two types of beneficiaries has been simplified and unified under the term "Beneficiary".
The two types are::
  • Direct Beneficiaries are those whose funding and projects to implement are part of the Recovery and Resilience Plan that has been negotiated and approved by the European Union;
  • Final Beneficiaries are those whose funding and projects to implement are approved following a selection process through Calls for Applications.

Call for applications

As part of the Call for Applications, submissions are requested to select the projects and final beneficiaries to whom funding will be awarded. Specific selection criteria are defined for each call, which must be reflected in the applications submitted and assessed.

The project is appraised on the basis of its compliance with the selection criteria laid down in the calls for applications, and a final score may be awarded, where applicable.

Final evaluation score

0,0
Important note

The components for calculating the assessment score can be found in the selection criteria document mentioned below.
