A Agenda InsectERA visa fomentar a economia circular e alavancar o desenvolvimento de novos produtos, processos e serviços, com base em I&D e inovação, com elevado valor acrescentado e incorporação de conhecimento e tecnologia, permitindo responder ao desafio da transição verde em direção à sustentabilidade ambiental. A Agenda abrange todo o ciclo de inovação, desde a I&D até ao fabrico e comercialização dos produtos no mercado, apoiada na produção tecnologicamente avançada. Assenta em 4 WP principais:- InFood: utilização de insetos como fonte nutricional alternativa/sustentável em produtos alimentares;- InFeed: utilização de insetos como fonte nutricional numa alimentação animal sustentável;- InIndustry: utilização de produtos derivados de insetos (novas matérias-primas para a indústria, como a da cosmética ou do bioplástico);- InBiorremediation: utilização de insetos como ferramenta de biorremediação, como a eliminação de efluentes pecuários e resíduos orgânicosurbanos.
Beneficiaries
The two types are::
- Direct Beneficiaries are those whose funding and projects to implement are part of the Recovery and Resilience Plan that has been negotiated and approved by the European Union;
- Final Beneficiaries are those whose funding and projects to implement are approved following a selection process through Calls for Applications.
Call for applications
As part of the Call for Applications, submissions are requested to select the projects and final beneficiaries to whom funding will be awarded. Specific selection criteria are defined for each call, which must be reflected in the applications submitted and assessed.
The project is appraised on the basis of its compliance with the selection criteria laid down in the calls for applications, and a final score may be awarded, where applicable.

Beneficiaries representing public entities implement their project by signing one or more contracts with suppliers for goods or services through public procurement procedures.
