O Projeto CHIMERA Norte visa identificar e caracterizar uma mancha de empréstimo (areias) localizada na plataforma continental próxima, na zona norte do país, com o objetivo de realizar intervenções de alimentação artificial em áreas sujeitas à erosão costeira, com subsequente risco para as pessoas e bens aí instalados.
