O projeto do Bairro Comercial de Digital de Beja, foi concebido em torno de uma visão agregadora de promoção de uma área qualificada do ponto de vista urbanístico, social e económico, preservando a sua principal identidade associada à riqueza do património com mais de 2500 anos de história. O plano de ação possui alguns temas centrais, como a inovação na herança comercial e histórico-cultural, a transformação e reabilitação dos espaços para que, com a aplicação de novas tecnologias digitais, se possa atrair mais pessoas para as ruas do bairro e também atrair novos públicos com outros comportamentos de consumo não clássico. Inclui ainda a revitalização do comércio e serviços da área, induzindo novas formas de relacionamento com uma nova geração de consumidores, que vai para além dos residentes e habitais visitantes, atendendo ao elevado interesse turístico e ao quadro de oferta de eventos económicos e culturais relevantes, que trazem consigo novos clientes nacionais e estrangeiros.
Beneficiaries
The two types are::
- Direct Beneficiaries are those whose funding and projects to implement are part of the Recovery and Resilience Plan that has been negotiated and approved by the European Union;
- Final Beneficiaries are those whose funding and projects to implement are approved following a selection process through Calls for Applications.
Call for applications
As part of the Call for Applications, submissions are requested to select the projects and final beneficiaries to whom funding will be awarded. Specific selection criteria are defined for each call, which must be reflected in the applications submitted and assessed.
The project is appraised on the basis of its compliance with the selection criteria laid down in the calls for applications, and a final score may be awarded, where applicable.

Beneficiaries representing public entities implement their project by signing one or more contracts with suppliers for goods or services through public procurement procedures.
