A Skizo é uma empresa de impacto social e ambiental que usa a ciência dos materiais para introduzir inovações revolucionárias nos têxteis e patentes para o mundo através de artigos de moda para uso diário. Tem como principal produto sapatilhas que utilizam um conjunto de materiais reciclados, entre os quais se destacam poliéster feito à base de plásticos recolhidos das costas e oceano.O presente projeto tem como objetivo o estudo e teste da incorporação de algas nas fibras têxteis feitas de plástico e redes de pesca, com o objetivo de introduzir características que normalmente são adicionadas no setor quimicamente ou por metais pesados. Também vai compreender o teste da utilização da nova matéria-prima em produtos Skizo. Caso os resultados obtidos sejam favoráveis, e a matéria-prima apresente potencial para o setor têxtil ou para aplicações noutros setores, vai ser também apresentado um pedido de registo de patente com o objetivo de proteger a propriedade intelectual gerada.
Beneficiaries
The two types are::
- Direct Beneficiaries are those whose funding and projects to implement are part of the Recovery and Resilience Plan that has been negotiated and approved by the European Union;
- Final Beneficiaries are those whose funding and projects to implement are approved following a selection process through Calls for Applications.
Call for applications
As part of the Call for Applications, submissions are requested to select the projects and final beneficiaries to whom funding will be awarded. Specific selection criteria are defined for each call, which must be reflected in the applications submitted and assessed.
The project is appraised on the basis of its compliance with the selection criteria laid down in the calls for applications, and a final score may be awarded, where applicable.

Beneficiaries representing public entities implement their project by signing one or more contracts with suppliers for goods or services through public procurement procedures.
