O presente projeto visa a incorporação de energias de fonte renovável para autoconsumo e a transição energética por via da eficiência energética através substituição de um equipamento que utiliza diesel por um elétrico, instalação de um variador de frequência, otimização do sistema de ar comprimido e substituição de luminárias. O projeto visa aproximar a Sofamóvel da neutralidade carbónica, estando assim alinhado com o objetivo nacional para 2050.
