A instalação irá digerir todos os resíduos orgânicos, incluindo lodo da estação de tratamento de águas residuais (ETE), resíduos de batata, palha de milho, resíduos de doces, resíduos de matéria-prima, resíduos de produtos fritos e outros resíduos orgânicos para produzir biogás e digerir como subproduto. Esse biogás será tratado para produzir biometano. Os resíduos orgânicos serão preparados, limpos de matérias estranhas. O tanque de alimentação de inércia (150 m3) será alimentado por cada moega individual sob uma receita específica para manter o equilíbrio da matéria prima e Nutrientes, onde o processo de Hidrólise (primeiro processo de decomposição de desperdício orgânico). Em seguida será alimentado o Tanque Digestor Anaeróbio (2.271m3) onde serão decompostos por microrganismos em 4 fases: (Hidrólise, Acidogênese, Acetogênese e Metanogênese). O biogás será filtrado por membranas para produzir biometano para uso direto nas linhas de produção em vez de gás natural.
Beneficiaries

- Direct Beneficiaries are those whose funding and projects to implement are part of the Recovery and Resilience Plan that has been negotiated and approved by the European Union;
- Final Beneficiaries are those whose funding and projects to implement are approved following a selection process through Calls for Applications.
Call for applications
As part of the Call for Applications, submissions are requested to select the projects and final beneficiaries to whom funding will be awarded. Specific selection criteria are defined for each call, which must be reflected in the applications submitted and assessed.
The project is appraised on the basis of its compliance with the selection criteria laid down in the calls for applications, and a final score may be awarded, where applicable.
