O projeto da Tecma Foods (Insect Based Feed and Food, Lda.) tem como objetivo posicionar-se como uma referência no setor emergente da produção de alimentos e rações à base de insetos, promovendo soluções sustentáveis e inovadoras para o consumo humano, animal e agrícola. A empresa foca-se na criação, reprodução e transformação industrial de larvas de Tenebrio molitor (besouro-das-farinhas), uma espécie autorizada pela União Europeia, para produzir: Alimentos para consumo humano: Produtos como farinha de inseto rica em proteínas, snacks, suplementos alimentares e ingredientes funcionais; Rações para animais: Ingredientes proteicos de alta qualidade para alimentação de animais de estimação, aquacultura e pecuária; Fertilizantes naturais (frass): Subprodutos orgânicos ricos em nutrientes para aplicação agrícola; O investimento visa a implementação de tecnologias avançadas, como sistemas automatizados de criação vertical e processos industriais eficientes (congelamento, secagem por micro-ondas e moagem), garantindo escalabilidade, sustentabilidade ambiental; Este investimento permitirá à Tecma Foods expandir a sua capacidade produtiva, diversificar os mercados-alvo (nacional e internacional) e contribuir ativamente para a transição para fontes alimentares mais sustentáveis.
Beneficiaries
The two types are::
- Direct Beneficiaries are those whose funding and projects to implement are part of the Recovery and Resilience Plan that has been negotiated and approved by the European Union;
- Final Beneficiaries are those whose funding and projects to implement are approved following a selection process through Calls for Applications.
Call for applications
As part of the Call for Applications, submissions are requested to select the projects and final beneficiaries to whom funding will be awarded. Specific selection criteria are defined for each call, which must be reflected in the applications submitted and assessed.
The project is appraised on the basis of its compliance with the selection criteria laid down in the calls for applications, and a final score may be awarded, where applicable.
