Alinhado com o Roteiro para a Descarbonização do Grupo Navigator, o presente projeto, denominado por «Descarbonização da fábrica de pasta da Figueira da Foz» tem como principal objetivo a implementação de três iniciativas que permitirão a redução de cerca de 17,2% das emissões de CO2e diretas e indiretas da Empresa. A primeira iniciativa, visa a instalação de um novo forno de cal na fábrica de pasta da Figueira da Foz, alimentado a biomassa, enquanto a segunda iniciativa pretende preparar os atuais equipamentos de combustão da caldeira de recuperação para hidrogénio, com vista a que estes deixem de funcionar a fuelóleo. Por fim, e no que respeita a terceira iniciativa, pretende-se implementar uma nova linha de alimentação de gases do atual forno de cal à parceira SMI, de forma a capturar toneladas de CO2 não biogénico produzidos no forno de cal e utilizá-los na produção de carbonato de cálcio precipitado (PCC).
Beneficiaries
The two types are::
- Direct Beneficiaries are those whose funding and projects to implement are part of the Recovery and Resilience Plan that has been negotiated and approved by the European Union;
- Final Beneficiaries are those whose funding and projects to implement are approved following a selection process through Calls for Applications.
Call for applications
As part of the Call for Applications, submissions are requested to select the projects and final beneficiaries to whom funding will be awarded. Specific selection criteria are defined for each call, which must be reflected in the applications submitted and assessed.
The project is appraised on the basis of its compliance with the selection criteria laid down in the calls for applications, and a final score may be awarded, where applicable.
