O projeto NeoSoles visa desenvolver compostos termoplásticos funcionais para solas leves de dupla utilização (militar e civil), recorrendo a EVA, TR Light e TPU expandido. Pretende-se reduzir a densidade das solas através de agentes expansores e incorporação de resíduos, e integrar aditivos funcionais que proporcionem: (i) conforto térmico dinâmico via microcápsulas PCM, capazes de absorver e libertar calor; (ii) propriedades fotocrómicas, termocrómicas e hidrocrómicas, permitindo mudança de cor mediante luz UV, temperatura ou humidade; e (iii) funcionalidades antimicrobianas. Os compostos serão compatíveis com processos industriais de injeção e extrusão, garantindo escalabilidade. O NeoSoles pretende criar materiais leves, duráveis e inteligentes, maximizando conforto sem comprometer resistência e assegurando desempenho superior em ambientes exigentes.
