O projeto ?EMBALAGEM DO FUTURO? resulta dos trabalhos iniciados pelo GESRL, CIMRL, Politécnico de Leiria e NERLEI, e reúne um consórcio multidisciplinar e complementar de 89 entidades (52 PME, 21 NPME, 12 ENESII) das regiões Norte, Centro e Alentejo.Propõe-se a I&D, produção/fabrico e comercialização à escala global de soluções de embalagem mais ecológicas, mais digitais e mais inclusivas, que se materializem em, pelo menos 20 novos produtos/serviços resultantes de atividades de I&D e mais de uma dezena de novas linhas produtivas que combinam tecnologias inovadoras para a produção de embalagens sustentáveis e em novos processos a adotar na cadeia de valor do setor das Embalagens, desde as matérias primas, design de produto engenharia, moldes e ferramentas, processamento e fabrico, sistemas de informação e transição digital, marketing social, recolha e reciclagem.
Beneficiaries
The two types are::
- Direct Beneficiaries are those whose funding and projects to implement are part of the Recovery and Resilience Plan that has been negotiated and approved by the European Union;
- Final Beneficiaries are those whose funding and projects to implement are approved following a selection process through Calls for Applications.
Call for applications
As part of the Call for Applications, submissions are requested to select the projects and final beneficiaries to whom funding will be awarded. Specific selection criteria are defined for each call, which must be reflected in the applications submitted and assessed.
The project is appraised on the basis of its compliance with the selection criteria laid down in the calls for applications, and a final score may be awarded, where applicable.

Beneficiaries representing public entities implement their project by signing one or more contracts with suppliers for goods or services through public procurement procedures.
