A presente candidatura visa impulsionar os municípios na continuidade da modernização administrativa e na implementação de soluções de cidades inteligentes (smartcities). Este avanço será promovido através da integração de plataformas de Business Intelligence (BI) e, principalmente, pela adoção de uma Plataforma de Gestão Urbana Integrada (PGUI). Estas ferramentas, desenhadas para expansão e adaptação a futuras necessidades, permitirão a integração de sistemas de informação existentes e futuros, em conjunto com a Internet das Coisas (IoT), promovendo uma gestão mais eficiente e decisões baseadas em dados concretos. Além disso, está prevista a implementação de verticais IoT específicos que, com a recolha de métricas em tempo real e históricas, demonstram ser financeiramente vantajosos, resultando em poupanças significativas e otimizando uma vasta gama de serviços municipais. Esta abordagem, além de melhorar a eficiência operacional, promove a inovação contínua e a sustentabilidade dos serviços públicos, preparando as autarquias para enfrentar desafios futuros com soluções tecnológicas robustas e adaptáveis.
Beneficiaries
The two types are::
- Direct Beneficiaries are those whose funding and projects to implement are part of the Recovery and Resilience Plan that has been negotiated and approved by the European Union;
- Final Beneficiaries are those whose funding and projects to implement are approved following a selection process through Calls for Applications.
Call for applications
As part of the Call for Applications, submissions are requested to select the projects and final beneficiaries to whom funding will be awarded. Specific selection criteria are defined for each call, which must be reflected in the applications submitted and assessed.
The project is appraised on the basis of its compliance with the selection criteria laid down in the calls for applications, and a final score may be awarded, where applicable.

Beneficiaries representing public entities implement their project by signing one or more contracts with suppliers for goods or services through public procurement procedures.
