O Projecto tem como objectivo a definição de um Roteiro de Descarbonização para o Sector Automóvel, cluster estratégico para a economia nacional, identificando medidas concretas e o seu impacto na redução de emissões de GEE, com vista a responder aos objectivos da neutralidade carbónica identificados no Roteiro para Neutralidade Carbónica 2050 e no Plano Nacional de Energia e Clima 2030.O Roteiro de Descarbonização e as medidas concretas e desafiantes que preconizará serão baseadas na análise da pegada carbónica de 20 empresas do sector, representativas da cadeia de valor (OEM, Tier 1 e Tier 2) e dos subsectores chave (e.g. moldes, cablagens, peças metalomecânicas).O Projecto prevê workshops para a sensibilização do sector, bem como acções de formação e de divulgação de boas práticas, e ainda o desenvolvimento de ferramentas analíticas para o cálculo da pegada de carbono das empresas do sector, estando também previsto um plano de comunicação para garantir a divulgação do Projecto.
Beneficiaries
The two types are::
- Direct Beneficiaries are those whose funding and projects to implement are part of the Recovery and Resilience Plan that has been negotiated and approved by the European Union;
- Final Beneficiaries are those whose funding and projects to implement are approved following a selection process through Calls for Applications.
Call for applications
As part of the Call for Applications, submissions are requested to select the projects and final beneficiaries to whom funding will be awarded. Specific selection criteria are defined for each call, which must be reflected in the applications submitted and assessed.
The project is appraised on the basis of its compliance with the selection criteria laid down in the calls for applications, and a final score may be awarded, where applicable.

Beneficiaries representing public entities implement their project by signing one or more contracts with suppliers for goods or services through public procurement procedures.
