O projeto da DIATOSTA – Indústria Alimentar S.A. visa o aumento da capacidade produtiva e a modernização tecnológica do seu estabelecimento industrial, através da instalação de uma nova linha automatizada de cozedura e tostagem, integrando sistemas digitais de controlo, eficiência energética e soluções de Indústria 4.0. Paralelamente, incorpora uma componente de I&D dedicada ao desenvolvimento de novas gamas de tostas funcionais e sustentáveis, com menor teor de sal e açúcares e enriquecidas com cereais e proteínas alternativas. O investimento reforça a competitividade, sustentabilidade e capacidade exportadora da empresa, posicionando a DIATOSTA como referência europeia na produção de tostas, promotora da transição verde e digital da indústria alimentar portuguesa.
