Quatro Academias do Conhecimento são propostas com a intenção de reforçar os programas de licenciatura existentes, e alargar o seu acesso, ao mesmo tempo que se propõem novos programas de formação. São concebidas para atrair mais estudantes para o ensino superior e ajudá-los a desenvolver as competências para gerir os instrumentos de aprendizagem cada vez mais complexos à sua disposição. Através da criação de laboratórios vividos em parceria com a indústria, e em colaboração com os consórcios de organizações/empresas estabelecidas em cada uma das áreas delineadas nesta apresentação, os alunos serão inspirados a serem autónomos e a resolver problemas complexos do mundo real com interação direta com o mundo profissional. Na modalidade Impulse Young STEAM, a UCP propõe três Academias do Conhecimento estratégicas: Artes, Humanidades e Indústrias Criativas; Ciências e Tecnologias da Saúde; e Gestão. Na modalidade Impulse ADULT, a UCP está a criar quatro Academias do Conhecimento estratégicas: Artes, Humanidades e Indústrias Criativas; Ciências e Tecnologias da Saúde; Gestão; e Governação e Administração Pública.
Beneficiaries
The two types are::
- Direct Beneficiaries are those whose funding and projects to implement are part of the Recovery and Resilience Plan that has been negotiated and approved by the European Union;
- Final Beneficiaries are those whose funding and projects to implement are approved following a selection process through Calls for Applications.
Call for applications
As part of the Call for Applications, submissions are requested to select the projects and final beneficiaries to whom funding will be awarded. Specific selection criteria are defined for each call, which must be reflected in the applications submitted and assessed.
The project is appraised on the basis of its compliance with the selection criteria laid down in the calls for applications, and a final score may be awarded, where applicable.

Beneficiaries representing public entities implement their project by signing one or more contracts with suppliers for goods or services through public procurement procedures.
