O projeto tem como principal objetivo reforçar e assegurar o regular fornecimento de água para regadio agrícola, a cerca de 9.000 explorações agrícolas, numa área de cerca de 840 hectares localizada no eixo entre os concelhos da Ribeira Brava e de Câmara de Lobos e de aumentar a capacidade de armazenamento de água, assegurando, desta forma, 3,2 hm3 de água ao Canal do Norte durante o período de esteio. O novo sistema elevatório será constituído por dois subsistemas. Um primeiro, no Seixal, composto por um reservatório com cerca de 10.000 m3, estação e conduta elevatória com uma extensão aproximada de 10,5 km diâmetro DN500, com capacidade para transportar um caudal de cerca de 250 l/s. O segundo subsistema composto por um reservatório com capacidade de cerca de 20.000 m³, estação e conduta elevatória com uma extensão aproximada 4,5 km diâmetro DN950 com capacidade para transportar um caudal de cerca de 800 l/s. Este sistema integra diversas sinergias com a EEM, como parceiro relevante para a otimização do funcionamento do mesmo, permitindo promover uma maior penetração de energias renováveis. Com esta obra a ARM disponibilizará água para assegurar o regadio no período de Verão e constituirá assim uma reserva de água importante que contribuirá para melhor adaptação da Região às alterações climáticas em termos de recursos hídricos.
Beneficiaries
The two types are::
- Direct Beneficiaries are those whose funding and projects to implement are part of the Recovery and Resilience Plan that has been negotiated and approved by the European Union;
- Final Beneficiaries are those whose funding and projects to implement are approved following a selection process through Calls for Applications.
Call for applications
As part of the Call for Applications, submissions are requested to select the projects and final beneficiaries to whom funding will be awarded. Specific selection criteria are defined for each call, which must be reflected in the applications submitted and assessed.
The project is appraised on the basis of its compliance with the selection criteria laid down in the calls for applications, and a final score may be awarded, where applicable.
