O Instituto de Investigação do Medicamento (iMed.ULisboa) pretende ser pioneiro na descoberta de medicamentos inovadores e de tecnologias de topo para fazer avançar os cuidados de saúde. Os mais recentes avanços nas Ciências da Saúde permitiram uma maior compreensão dos mecanismos moleculares da doença humana, revolucionando a descoberta e desenvolvimento de medicamentos, e possibilitando novas modalidades e tecnologias terapêuticas, aproximando os cuidados de saúde da medicina personalizada. Através da investigação em rede e em compromisso com a excelência científica, o iMed pretende desenvolver novas terapêuticas para doenças sem tratamento (ou com terapias insuficientes), utilizando uma abordagem multidisciplinar enraizada nas ciências químicas, biológicas, computacionais e farmacêuticas. Durante o período 2025-29, mais de 120 estudantes de doutoramento, 110 investigadores doutorados integrados, organizados em 33 laboratórios e 3 áreas temáticas (Hubs de investigação), irão moldar este novo panorama terapêutico através do desenvolvimento de fármacos e tecnologias/dispositivos médicos inovadores. Estes esforços serão fomentados por um ambiente altamente colaborativo entre os Hubs Científico, Tecnológico e Translacional; apoiados por uma extensa rede de colaborações científicas nacionais e internacionais; bem como através de fortes parcerias com a indústria, hospitais, médicos e associações de doentes.
Beneficiaries
The two types are::
- Direct Beneficiaries are those whose funding and projects to implement are part of the Recovery and Resilience Plan that has been negotiated and approved by the European Union;
- Final Beneficiaries are those whose funding and projects to implement are approved following a selection process through Calls for Applications.
Call for applications
As part of the Call for Applications, submissions are requested to select the projects and final beneficiaries to whom funding will be awarded. Specific selection criteria are defined for each call, which must be reflected in the applications submitted and assessed.
The project is appraised on the basis of its compliance with the selection criteria laid down in the calls for applications, and a final score may be awarded, where applicable.
