O projeto MonoPE88 visa o desenvolvimento e a industrialização de uma nova geração de embalagens plásticas flexíveis multicamada monomaterial em polietileno, 100% recicláveis, orientadas para o setor alimentar. A operação articula Investigação Industrial, Desenvolvimento Experimental e Inovação Produtiva, permitindo substituir estruturas multimateriais convencionais por soluções mais sustentáveis. O investimento inclui a construção de uma nave industrial contígua e funcionalmente integrada ao estabelecimento atual, a instalação de uma nova linha de produção e a integração de tecnologias de digitalização e inteligência artificial. Para além de reforçar a capacidade produtiva, criar emprego e consolidar a presença da Sacos 88 no segmento alimentar, o projeto assume como objetivo central o aumento da resiliência física e operacional da empresa, reduzindo vulnerabilidades, reforçando a continuidade do negócio e melhorando a resposta a futuras situações de calamidade e contingência.
